What it covers

The IEC household-appliance safety part for drives of vertically moving garage doors in homes, read with IEC 60335-1. It addresses the drive itself: electrical safety, construction and protection against hazards arising from the drive's movement. The behaviour of the complete installed door is assessed against door standards as well. Relevant to: residential garage door operator makers selling in markets that adopt IEC 60335 parts.
