What it covers

REACH is the EU chemicals regulation. For a motor or remote the practical duty is information: if an article contains a substance on the SVHC candidate list above 0.1 % by weight, the supplier must tell professional customers, and consumers on request, which substance it is and how to use the article safely. Some substances are also restricted outright in Annex XVII. REACH has no marking and is not part of the CE marking.
