Filters by a control protocol stated in the manufacturer data.
Selection points
A "smart" blind motor is one that a home network can control. This list keeps only window covering drives with evidence for that: a declared networked protocol in the manufacturer's data or in a public certification record, or an active Matter certification in the CSA Distributed Compliance Ledger. Remotes and hubs are not listed, and a proprietary one-way radio alone does not qualify.
The list holds 294 drives from 62 manufacturers with a public profile. Dooya, Wistar, Longan.link and Zemismart have the most entries.
Selection points
- Check where a protocol claim comes from. A Matter certification is a third-party record; a protocol taken from a data sheet is the manufacturer's own statement.
- Most entries are Matter devices. 267 of the 294 hold an active Matter certification. Among other declared networked protocols, Zigbee appears most often, followed by Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE.
- Mechanical data is thin. Only a few of these drives publish torque or diameter, because certification records describe the device type, not its mechanics. Confirm fit with the manufacturer.
- Check your controller. A Thread-based Matter device needs a Thread border router; a Zigbee device needs a Zigbee hub.
For how the protocols differ and what one-way and two-way control mean, read smart home integration. For the certified subset only, see Matter blinds motors.
