Find the right size
Rule of thumb: required torque ≈ weight × 9.81 × tube radius × 2, and the motor body must be at least 5 mm smaller than the tube. Confirm with the manufacturer's sizing table.
Selection points
This list contains only window covering devices, motors and controllers that hold an active Matter certification in the CSA Distributed Compliance Ledger. Nothing here relies on a marketing claim: each device is listed because of its ledger record, which names the vendor and product identifiers the certificate covers.
The list holds 281 certified devices from 64 manufacturers with a public profile. Dooya has the largest number of certified devices here, followed by Wistar, Longan.link and Zemismart.
Selection points
- Certified is not the same as compatible with everything. Matter defines a common way to open, close and position a covering. Extra features may still need the maker's own app.
- Check the transport. Matter runs over Thread, Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Thread devices need a Thread border router in the home.
- Certificates name a product, not a family. A certificate covers the vendor and product identifiers listed in the ledger. Check that the exact model you buy matches.
- Mechanics are not in the certificate. The ledger does not record torque or tube size, so these columns are mostly empty. Size the motor separately, for example with the interior blinds and curtains guide.
For other smart home protocols, see smart blinds motors; for the standard itself, see Matter.
