Industrial door operators
This category covers industrial door operators within the broader door and gate drive range. See all door and gate operators.
A door operator: an electric drive, usually a geared motor with its own control unit, that opens and closes a powered door by turning the door's shaft or by moving the door along a rail or chain. This category covers operators for industrial and commercial sectional, rolling and high-speed doors. It is a different product from a tubular motor for shutters: a door operator is judged against door safety rules, such as force limits and the safety devices that stop or reverse the door. Internationally, the electrical safety of these drives is covered by IEC 60335-2-103; in Europe the powered door as a whole is covered by EN 13241 and EN 12453. Complete openers for residential garage doors, whose drives fall under IEC 60335-2-95, are listed separately under garage door openers.
